Responsibilities
- Administer and audit multi-employer pension plans to ensure ERISA compliance
- Investigate and resolve pension plan financial discrepancies and reporting irregularities
- Conduct site visits and examinations of plan sponsors and fiduciaries
- Prepare detailed compliance reports and recommendations for corrective actions
- Collaborate with legal teams to enforce pension plan regulations and penalties
- Provide technical guidance to plan sponsors regarding fiduciary responsibilities
- Monitor economic trends affecting pension fund sustainability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension plan administration or ERISA compliance experience
- Strong knowledge of federal pension regulations (ERISA, PBGC statutes)
- Advanced proficiency in financial analysis and auditing software
- Professional certification (CEBS, CPA, or CFA) preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential financial data with discretion
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
