Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth reviews of employee service records to determine eligibility and vesting status under FERS and CSRS.
- Calculate accurate pension estimates, annuity payments, and survivor benefits using specialized software.
- Advise federal employees and retirees on retirement planning, healthcare coverage options, and survivor benefit elections.
- Ensure strict adherence to Office of Personnel Management (OPM) guidelines and federal compliance standards.
- Resolve complex discrepancies in service credit, leave balances, and compensation data.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive personnel and financial information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, or Business Administration (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pension administration, federal HR, or actuarial analysis.
- Strong working knowledge of FERS, CSRS, TSP, and Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB).
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal skills for counseling employees and explaining complex regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Workday).

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of employee service records to determine eligibility and benefits under the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS).
- Calculate and project pension estimates, annuities, and survivor benefits with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Advise federal employees and retirees on retirement planning, healthcare options, and survivor benefit elections.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations, OPM guidelines, and agency policies regarding retirement processing.
- Collaborate with HR specialists and payroll departments to resolve complex discrepancies in service credit and compensation.
- Maintain and update accurate, confidential electronic and paper records for a growing caseload of federal employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in federal retirement services, pension administration, or human resources administration.
- Deep knowledge of FERS, CSRS, and the Federal Employees' Compensation Act (FECA) is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them to individual employee scenarios.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for advising clients and preparing detailed reports.
- Proficiency in HRIS software (e.g., PeopleSoft, Workday) and Microsoft Office Suite.
