Responsibilities
- Calculate pension eligibility and monthly annuity amounts based on employee service records and federal regulations.
- Provide comprehensive guidance to federal employees regarding FERS and CSRS retirement plans.
- Assist clients with enrolling in, contributing to, and maximizing their Thrift Savings Plans (TSP).
- Review and process retirement paperwork to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
- Conduct research on updated federal benefits policies and communicate changes to staff and clients.
- Collaborate with the HR department to resolve complex pension discrepancies and customer inquiries.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex federal regulations and financial data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client-facing interactions.
- Ability to pass a standard federal background check and security clearance process.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel for data analysis.
