Responsibilities
- Analyze complex pension calculations and eligibility requirements for federal employees transitioning to retirement.
- Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions to explain Federal Employee Retirement System (FERS) and Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) options.
- Ensure strict compliance with Office of Personnel Management (OPM) regulations and internal federal policies.
- Process and review retirement applications, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Collaborate with HR departments to streamline pension administration processes.
- Provide training and resources to federal staff regarding health benefits and survivor annuities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Federal Pension Administration or Human Resources.
- Deep knowledge of FERS, CSRS, and the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) program.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex government regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client-facing interactions.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced federal environment.
