Responsibilities
- Manage Inquiries: Respond to complex inquiries regarding Federal pension plans, retirement eligibility, and survivor benefits.
- Process Claims: Review and process retirement applications and pension adjustments with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Compliance: Ensure all actions comply with OPM (Office of Personnel Management) regulations and internal policies.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records in federal databases and prepare reports for management review.
- Customer Support: Assist federal employees in navigating the benefits system, providing clear and compassionate guidance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, HR, or a related field preferred; High School Diploma with significant relevant experience considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in federal benefits administration, human resources, or customer service.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Federal Employees' Retirement System (FERS) and CSRS plans.
- Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and federal case management software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex regulations to non-experts.
