Responsibilities
- Review and process pension calculations for federal retirees and beneficiaries with a high degree of accuracy.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure strict compliance with federal regulations, ERISA standards, and agency policies.
- Provide expert-level customer service by resolving complex inquiries regarding eligibility, vesting, and benefit calculations.
- Collaborate with the Payroll and HR departments to ensure seamless data integration for federal personnel.
- Prepare detailed, audit-ready reports on pension fund status and compliance metrics.
- Assist in the development and updating of pension plan documentation and employee guides.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in pension administration, retirement planning, or federal benefits processing.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced functions in Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with an unwavering attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory codes and apply them to specific scenarios.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-experts.
