Responsibilities
- Review and process pension applications and retirement claims with high accuracy and speed.
- Analyze federal employee service records to calculate pension benefits according to OPM guidelines (FERS/CSRS).
- Provide expert consultation and customer service to federal employees regarding retirement eligibility and benefits.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations and internal policies regarding pension administration.
- Maintain and update confidential personnel and financial records within the secure database system.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to resolve complex benefit discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal pension administration or actuarial services.
- In-depth knowledge of the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS).
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional analytical problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and federal HR software systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
