Responsibilities
- Analyze federal healthcare legislation and draft policy recommendations for Secretary review
- Coordinate with state/local health departments on implementation of new ACA provisions
- Prepare comprehensive briefing materials for Congressional hearings
- Lead cross-agency task forces on emergency response protocols
- Conduct statistical modeling of policy impacts using CMS datasets
- Manage stakeholder engagement with community health organizations
- Oversee compliance with federal reporting requirements (OMB, GAO)
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years federal policy analysis experience
- Expertise in healthcare regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, ACA, MACRA)
- Advanced proficiency in R/Python for quantitative analysis
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Demonstrated success in briefing senior government officials
- Knowledge of California Medi-Cal program operations preferred
