Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft legislative recommendations
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using government databases
- Collaborate with agency heads and legislative committees
- Prepare detailed briefing materials for senior officials
- Monitor federal policy changes for state impact assessment
- Manage stakeholder engagement across government and community partners
- Oversee policy implementation and effectiveness evaluation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government/public sector
- Expertise in quantitative data analysis (SPSS, R, or Stata)
- Deep knowledge of NY state legislative processes
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with competing deadlines
- Experience with budgetary analysis and fiscal impact statements
- Valid NYS driver's license
