Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health data to inform policy recommendations for Dallas County initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement evidence-based health policies
- Prepare comprehensive reports and briefings for legislative stakeholders and department leadership
- Monitor federal/state regulatory changes and assess impact on Texas health programs
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community organizations and healthcare providers
- Manage policy implementation timelines and ensure compliance with state/federal requirements
- Represent the department at public forums and legislative hearings as needed
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of policy analysis experience in government or healthcare sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R) and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated experience developing health equity frameworks for diverse populations
- Expert knowledge of Texas state government operations and legislative processes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex concepts
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel within Dallas County
