Responsibilities
- Oversee $2M+ federal grant programs ensuring compliance with OMB and VA regulations
- Develop and implement strategic plans for veteran healthcare initiatives in NM
- Manage cross-functional teams of 15+ professionals across multiple departments
- Analyze federal budget data and prepare reports for congressional oversight
- Coordinate with state agencies and community partners for veteran services
- Lead program evaluations using federal performance metrics (GPRA)
- Serve as primary liaison for federal audits and compliance reviews
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required (per federal regulations)
- 3+ years federal program management experience
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Masters degree in Public Administration or related field
- Expertise in federal procurement and grant management (FAR)
- Proficiency with federal budget systems (e.g., MAX)
- VA-specific certification preferred (e.g., VHA Program Manager)
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills highly desirable
