Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies for federal health programs
- Manage media relations and coordinate press conferences with local outlets
- Write and edit policy briefs, reports, and public-facing communications
- Analyze public sentiment and adjust messaging strategies accordingly
- Coordinate with congressional offices on constituent communications
- Oversee digital communications including social media and web content
- Train agency staff on effective public engagement techniques
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of federal or public sector communications experience
- Expertise in crisis communication protocols and media relations
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and CMS platforms
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven approach
- U.S. citizenship required
