Responsibilities
- Access Control: Monitor and control access points to federal facilities, verifying credentials of all visitors and employees.
- Patrols: Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of the facility and perimeter to ensure security compliance and identify potential hazards.
- Incident Reporting: Document all security incidents, irregularities, and violations in accordance with established reporting procedures.
- Visitor Management: Issue visitor badges and maintain an organized log of all personnel entering and exiting the premises.
- Emergency Response: Respond immediately to alarms, fires, or security breaches, following established emergency protocols.
- Compliance: Adhere to all federal regulations, OSHA standards, and company security policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation, including drug screening and fingerprinting.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not always required.
- License: Valid driver's license and ability to operate a government-issued vehicle.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. Must pass a medical fitness-for-duty examination.
