Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo for prohibited items using advanced imaging technology and X-ray machines.
- Enforce security regulations and procedures in a professional and courteous manner.
- Interact with travelers to answer questions and provide assistance in a high-volume environment.
- Monitor and maintain screening equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Document any irregularities or security breaches immediately according to protocol.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient flow of operations during peak travel times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure workspace at all times.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship or National status (required for federal employment).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a background investigation, including a criminal history check and drug screening.
- Ability to pass a medical examination and physical fitness assessment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
