Responsibilities
- Patrol & Monitoring: Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of the facility perimeter and interior spaces to deter unauthorized access and detect security violations.
- Access Control: Verify credentials of all personnel and visitors using the Visitor Management System and enforce badge policies strictly.
- Incident Reporting: Document and report any suspicious activities, safety hazards, or security breaches immediately via the SecureOps incident reporting platform.
- Emergency Response: Execute emergency response protocols, including evacuation procedures and first aid, ensuring the safety of employees and visitors during critical incidents.
- Customer Service: Provide professional and courteous assistance to federal employees and visitors, answering inquiries and resolving minor security-related issues.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain security equipment, such as CCTV monitors, access control panels, and emergency communication devices.
Qualifications
- Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess or be eligible for a Public Trust (Secret) security clearance.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military service.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a background investigation and physical agility test. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
