Job Summary:
The Night Shift Security Analyst is responsible for the physical and cyber security of government facilities during evening and night hours. You will serve as the primary deterrent to unauthorized access and will oversee surveillance systems to ensure the safety of personnel and assets.
Responsibilities
- Monitor Surveillance Systems: Operate closed-circuit television (CCTV) and perimeter sensors to detect and report any anomalies or security breaches in real-time.
- Access Control: Enforce strict entry and exit protocols, verifying credentials for all personnel and visitors against government databases.
- Patrol Duties: Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of the facility grounds to identify potential hazards, fire risks, or security vulnerabilities.
- Incident Reporting: Document all incidents, suspicious activities, and safety observations in detailed shift logs using secure government systems.
- Emergency Response: Respond immediately to alarms, fires, medical emergencies, or security breaches following established emergency response protocols.
- Access Verification: Manage badge issuance and tracking for authorized personnel to ensure compliance with facility regulations.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services during critical incidents.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or Security Management is a plus.
- Clearance: Active Secret or Top Secret clearance preferred; must be eligible for government clearance.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in security operations, surveillance, or military police work.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Skills: Proficient in using computerized security systems, access control terminals, and CCTV monitoring software.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and patroll large areas for extended periods. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background investigation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to remain calm under pressure.
