About the Role:
As a Federal IT Specialist, you will be responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of federal information systems. You will collaborate with state and local partners to ensure seamless technology integration and data security compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain federal IT systems, ensuring 99.9% uptime and security compliance.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement necessary security patches for federal networks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions for state and local agencies.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff members regarding federal regulations.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
- Prepare detailed reports on system status, security incidents, and project milestones.
- Ensure all federal projects adhere to strict compliance standards and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active or ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in federal, state, or local government IT environments.
- Strong knowledge of federal IT policies, such as FISMA and NIST standards.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (Jira, MS Project).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
