Responsibilities
- Manage and secure federal networks (NIPRNet/SIPRNet) ensuring strict compliance with DoD and NIST standards.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls, routers, switches, and VPN concentrators.
- Perform system administration tasks including user provisioning, patch management, and OS upgrades.
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and incident response to mitigate risks.
- Provide technical support and guidance to federal stakeholders and junior staff members.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure 99.99% system availability and uptime through proactive monitoring.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret or Secret clearance is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT environments or systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Experience with DoD STIG compliance and security frameworks.
- Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CCNA, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder management.
