Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain on-premise and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) during weekend maintenance windows.
- Monitor system performance, logs, and alerts to ensure 99.9% uptime for federal applications.
- Implement and enforce NIST cybersecurity compliance and data protection protocols.
- Conduct troubleshooting and incident response for critical technical issues outside of standard business hours.
- Perform system patching, updates, and security hardening on federal servers.
- Document system configurations and maintain detailed audit trails for compliance reviews.
- Collaborate with on-call support teams to ensure seamless handoffs during shift transitions.
Qualifications
- Clearance: Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (required).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in federal IT environments or high-security sectors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Linux, Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, and network security architecture.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work weekend shifts (Friday-Sunday) on a rotational basis.
- Compliance: Experience with ITIL processes and federal regulatory compliance standards.
