Responsibilities
- Process veteran benefit applications with 99% accuracy while maintaining strict federal compliance standards
- Provide compassionate support to veterans and their families during weekend hours via phone, email, and in-person consultations
- Coordinate with federal agencies and healthcare providers to resolve complex benefit cases
- Maintain confidential records using VA-approved systems while adhering to HIPAA and FERPA regulations
- Lead weekend shift operations including staff scheduling, training, and performance monitoring
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance weekend service delivery efficiency
- Participate in continuous professional development through federal training programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years experience in federal benefits processing or veteran services
- Current U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
- Proficiency with VA systems (VBMS, VBA) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated ability to serve diverse populations
- Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional travel
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as required
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in high-volume environments
