Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from various federal sources to ensure accuracy and consistency for analysis.
- Perform statistical analysis and data modeling to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that influence decision-making.
- Create comprehensive reports and data visualizations using tools like Tableau or PowerBI to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with federal privacy laws and agency data governance policies throughout the data lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and improve data collection processes.
- Maintain and update documentation regarding data sources, methodologies, and system architectures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government or a government contracting sector.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, or similar).
- Strong understanding of data security standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex data simply.
