Responsibilities
- Analyze complex federal healthcare datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify trends and anomalies
- Generate interactive visualizations and reports for agency stakeholders using Tableau/Power BI
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and federal data privacy protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support public health initiatives in San Diego County
- Validate data integrity and troubleshoot discrepancies across multiple federal systems
- Document methodologies and maintain audit trails for all analytical processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Health, or related field
- 2+ years of experience with federal healthcare datasets or compliance frameworks
- Proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas), and statistical analysis tools
- Certification in data visualization (Tableau/Power BI) preferred
- Strong understanding of HIPAA, FERPA, and 21 CFR Part 11 regulations
- Excellent written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting
