Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, drainage clearing, and park upkeep
- Operate light machinery (e.g., lawnmowers, pressure washers) and hand tools safely
- Assist in emergency response during weather events and natural disasters
- Maintain clean and organized work sites following OSHA safety protocols
- Support vegetation management and landscaping projects across public spaces
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and inventory checks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and light equipment operation
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental stewardship
- Reliable transportation to various job sites throughout Jacksonville
- Flexible availability including weekends and emergency call-outs
