Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy construction equipment, including rollers, graders, and backhoes, under supervision.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, hauling, and lifting materials to support construction and maintenance projects.
- Assist in the installation and repair of public infrastructure, including sidewalks, curbs, and drainage systems.
- Maintain and repair traffic control devices, signs, guardrails, and public furniture.
- Ensure job sites are kept clean, organized, and free of hazards in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Respond to emergency service calls related to flooding, drainage issues, or street maintenance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and machinery is a plus but not required.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
