Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas of the city to deter crime, prevent accidents, and enforce laws and ordinances.
- Respond to emergency calls, accidents, and distress signals with professionalism and speed.
- Investigate suspicious activities, accidents, and crimes to gather evidence and make arrests when necessary.
- Provide assistance to citizens, including traffic direction, first aid, and conflict resolution.
- Prepare detailed reports, logs, and documentation of daily activities and incidents.
- Inspect facilities and public spaces to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and emergency services.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class C Texas Driver’s License required.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency status required.
- Ability to pass a thorough background investigation, drug screen, and physical agility test.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Willingness to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic computer literacy and report writing skills.
