Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain court dockets, calendars, and docket books.
- Receive, open, and process legal documents, complaints, and motions.
- Answer telephone inquiries and direct calls to appropriate court personnel.
- Assist the public and attorneys with filing requests and case searches.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all court records and sensitive information.
- Prepare and issue legal summons, subpoenas, and court orders.
- Perform data entry and ensure accuracy in case management systems.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a courthouse, law firm, or government office is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management software.
- Strong typing skills with the ability to transcribe documents accurately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Background check required.
