Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds including turf management, landscaping, irrigation systems, and playground equipment
- Organize and supervise recreational programs, sports leagues, and community events
- Inspect facilities for safety hazards and perform routine maintenance tasks
- Assist with special event setup, crowd control, and participant coordination
- Operate park maintenance machinery (mowers, trimmers, tractors) safely and efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and program participants
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on facility improvements and sustainability initiatives
- Document maintenance activities and prepare incident reports as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- 1+ years experience in park maintenance, event coordination, or recreation services
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in varying weather conditions
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
- Basic knowledge of landscaping practices, turf management, or facility maintenance
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays during peak seasons
