Responsibilities
- Maintain park facilities, playgrounds, and sports courts through daily inspections and repairs
- Organize and supervise recreational programs for youth and adults
- Lead community events including festivals, sports leagues, and educational workshops
- Operate maintenance equipment (mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems)
- Enforce park safety rules and provide exceptional customer service
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on facility improvements
- Document maintenance activities and program attendance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license with clean record
- 1+ years experience in parks maintenance or recreation programming
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of landscaping and turf management
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor in varying weather
