Responsibilities
- Perform daily park maintenance including mowing, pruning, irrigation checks, and playground safety inspections
- Operate maintenance equipment (mowers, trimmers, tractors) safely and efficiently
- Assist with special events setup, cleanup, and crowd management
- Conduct facility repairs, including benches, signage, and sports equipment
- Monitor park conditions and report hazards or maintenance needs promptly
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and address inquiries
- Collaborate with team members on seasonal projects and beautification initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- Valid Nebraska driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or recreational facility operations
- Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment safely
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of horticulture, turf management, or park safety protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
