Responsibilities
- Manage daily maintenance of parks, athletic fields, and recreational facilities including mowing, landscaping, and equipment upkeep
- Coordinate and lead community events, youth programs, and seasonal recreational activities
- Ensure safety compliance and proper operation of park facilities and playground equipment
- Collaborate with maintenance teams on infrastructure projects, trail systems, and park improvements
- Engage with residents and visitors to provide excellent customer service and address park-related inquiries
- Conduct regular inspections and report maintenance needs or safety hazards
- Assist in seasonal preparations including snow removal, winter sports setup, and summer program launches
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in park management, landscaping, or recreation preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in grounds maintenance, facility operations, or recreation program coordination
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to operate heavy equipment (mowers, tractors, power tools) and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong customer service skills with experience interacting with diverse community members
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak seasons
