Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling for infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery such as jackhammers, saws, and pressure washers safely and efficiently
- Assist in repairing roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems to ensure public safety
- Collect and dispose of waste, debris, and hazardous materials following city protocols
- Inspect work sites for hazards and maintain OSHA compliance standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate project timelines and resource allocation
- Document daily activities and maintain equipment maintenance logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in construction or civil engineering preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in construction, landscaping, or public works labor
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic equipment operation skills
- Ability to read blueprints and follow written instructions precisely
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
