Responsibilities
- Perform heavy lifting, digging, and equipment operation for construction/maintenance projects
- Operate machinery like jackhammers, saws, and trenchers under supervision
- Assist in road repair, drainage systems, and public facility maintenance
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Collaborate with skilled tradespeople on city infrastructure projects
- Complete daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance tasks
- Document project progress and material usage
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Tennessee Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in all weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow verbal instructions
- Pre-employment background check and drug screen required
- OSHA 10 certification preferred (training provided)
