Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, backhoes, and asphalt rollers
- Perform road construction, maintenance, and repair tasks
- Install and maintain traffic control systems and signage
- Execute concrete work for sidewalks, curbs, and drainage systems
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and safety protocols
- Collaborate with engineering teams on large-scale municipal projects
- Document project progress and material usage
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of public works or heavy construction experience
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification
- Ability to operate 5+ types of heavy equipment
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of municipal infrastructure standards
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent required
