Responsibilities
- Develop 10-year technology roadmaps for emerging fields including quantum AI and neural interfaces
- Lead cross-functional teams of PhD researchers and engineers to prototype breakthrough solutions
- Identify and evaluate disruptive technologies with potential to transform industry verticals by 2026
- Secure strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Present findings to C-suite executives and external stakeholders through compelling visualizations
- Manage $5M+ R&D budgets with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Anticipate ethical implications and develop responsible innovation frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism with 8+ years applied research experience
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies (AI, quantum, AR/VR)
- Deep expertise in exponential technology trends and singularity forecasting methodologies
- Strong network within DARPA, IEEE, or similar innovation ecosystems
- Prior experience leading teams with $3M+ budgets and 15+ direct reports
- Published research in Nature, Science, or equivalent tier journals
- Proficiency in strategic foresight frameworks (e.g., Delphi, scenario planning)
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages (Q#)
