Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology strategy framework, aligning R&D initiatives with market forecasts
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum AI, neuromorphic chips, biocomputing) for commercial viability
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, product, and sustainability teams
- Present strategic roadmaps to C-suite executives and board of directors quarterly
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators for future-proof R&D
- Conduct horizon scanning to anticipate technological disruptions and competitive threats
- Manage $5M+ annual innovation budget with ROI-focused resource allocation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Technology Strategy (PhD preferred)
- 12+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 experience
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, synthetic biology)
- Proven track record of launching commercialized tech innovations
- Strong analytical skills with ability to model complex technological scenarios
- Exceptional communication skills for translating technical concepts to stakeholders
- Published thought leadership in tech journals or industry white papers
- Experience managing global innovation teams across multiple time zones
