What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and maintain complex GIS databases and web-based mapping applications.
• Perform advanced spatial analysis to support decision-making for county departments.
• Create high-quality cartographic products, reports, and visualizations for executive stakeholders.
• Conduct quality assurance on geospatial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Train and mentor junior staff and cross-functional departments on GIS software usage.
• Collaborate with engineers and planners to integrate GIS solutions into larger county projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geomatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 to 4 years of professional experience in GIS analysis and software development.
• Expert proficiency in ArcGIS (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro) and ArcGIS Server.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL databases and scripting languages (Python, VBA, or JavaScript).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced government environment.
