Your Role
As the Weekend Data Analyst, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of data analysis during off-peak hours. You will collaborate with senior analysts to deliver actionable insights that support state policy and administrative functions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement within state government systems.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all databases, specifically focusing on weekend maintenance windows.
- Generate and distribute high-level performance reports and dashboards for department leadership.
- Collaborate with IT and policy teams to troubleshoot data entry errors and system inefficiencies.
- Implement and maintain data governance policies to ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Assist in the migration of legacy data systems to modern cloud-based platforms.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within a government or large enterprise setting.
- Demonstrated experience working in a remote work environment with strong self-discipline and time management skills.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and alternate holidays as required.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R, and experience with visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
- Strong understanding of data privacy laws and government compliance standards.
