Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and security of our on-premise and cloud-based server environments.
- System Optimization: Implement and monitor performance tuning scripts to ensure high availability and low latency for critical government services.
- Cybersecurity: Enforce security protocols, conduct vulnerability assessments, and respond to system intrusions to protect sensitive citizen data.
- Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in the deployment of new IT systems, upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Technical Support: Serve as a Tier-3 escalation point for complex system issues, providing expert troubleshooting and guidance to junior staff.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems administration within a large-scale enterprise or government environment.
- Certifications: Active certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, PowerShell, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and government officials.
