Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of advanced cybersecurity protocols for federal networks.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security risks.
- Develop and enforce information security policies and compliance standards (NIST, FISMA).
- Monitor system logs and security alerts to respond to threats in real-time.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff and system administrators.
- Prepare and deliver security briefings to stakeholders and senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certification: Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT environments or cybersecurity analysis.
- Skills: Proficiency in network security tools, incident response procedures, and risk management frameworks.
- Technical: Strong knowledge of Linux, Windows Server, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a high-pressure, mission-critical environment.
