Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality geospatial maps and data layers using ArcGIS Pro and QGIS.
- Collect, clean, and integrate spatial data from various sources to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex data into actionable visual insights.
- Perform spatial analysis to support infrastructure planning and resource allocation projects.
- Create interactive web maps and dashboards to disseminate information to stakeholders.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on all mapping deliverables and database records.
- Provide technical support and training to junior staff regarding GIS software and methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in GIS analysis, cartography, or database management.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro) and ArcGIS Online is mandatory.
- Experience with SQL and database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or JavaScript for data automation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced government environment.
