Responsibilities
- Process and maintain confidential municipal records with 99.8% accuracy
- Coordinate cross-departmental communications and meeting logistics
- Support grant application preparation and compliance documentation
- Manage public inquiries via phone, email, and in-person channels
- Prepare executive reports and council meeting materials
- Implement records retention policies per state/federal regulations
- Assist with budget tracking and procurement documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years administrative experience in government/public sector
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Active CA driver's license or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Clearance required: DOJ/FBI background check
- Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance within 60 days
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills
- Experience with records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Spanish bilingual preferred
