Responsibilities
- Manage citizen inquiries and service requests during weekend shifts via phone, email, and in-person channels
- Process confidential documents and permits with 100% accuracy and adherence to Texas Public Information Act
- Coordinate with multiple city departments to resolve cross-functional operational issues
- Maintain digital records systems using proprietary municipal software (training provided)
- Support emergency response protocols by relaying critical information to on-call officials
- Conduct preliminary data analysis for weekly operational reports
- Facilitate weekend public access to municipal facilities and services
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in government or regulated industry
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain City of Austin security clearance
- Exceptional communication skills in English (Spanish fluency preferred)
- Flexibility to work Saturdays and Sundays with rotating weekday availability
- Certification in Public Administration (CPM) or related field preferred
- Experience with Texas municipal code and compliance protocols
