Responsibilities
- Manage capital improvement projects from conception to completion within budget and timeline constraints
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineers, contractors, and community stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including CEQA and NEPA
- Prepare and present project updates to city council and community advisory boards
- Oversee procurement processes and contract administration
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies for complex infrastructure projects
- Monitor project progress using GIS mapping and construction management software
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public works project management or similar role
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, GIS platforms, and project management software
- Demonstrated experience with public sector procurement and contract administration
- Strong knowledge of California environmental regulations and permitting processes
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to engage diverse community groups
- Valid California Class C driver's license
