Responsibilities
- Analyze complex government datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for municipal stakeholders and city council members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data entry and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Develop and maintain databases to support daily city operations and long-term strategic planning.
- Conduct regular audits of existing data systems to ensure accuracy and security.
- Train junior staff on data analysis tools and best practices.
- Respond to data inquiries from the public and internal departments in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis or a related government role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Tableau or similar data visualization software.
- Strong understanding of government compliance standards and reporting requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Clean driving record (if applicable to site location).
