Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of state-wide IT infrastructure and network systems.
- Develop and enforce robust cybersecurity frameworks to protect sensitive citizen data and government assets.
- Analyze system requirements and performance metrics to identify areas for technical optimization.
- Collaborate with inter-agency teams to resolve complex technical issues and support digital transformation initiatives.
- Conduct regular system audits and provide strategic recommendations for technology upgrades.
- Act as the primary technical liaison between non-technical stakeholders and engineering teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Active eligibility to obtain a State of Illinois security clearance and background check.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
- Strong proficiency in network security protocols, disaster recovery planning, and system administration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
