Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain municipal IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and cloud systems
- Implement cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data
- Provide technical support to city departments and troubleshoot complex IT issues
- Develop and document IT policies aligned with federal compliance standards
- Coordinate technology upgrades and system migrations
- Train staff on new software and security best practices
- Collaborate with vendors for procurement and contract management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government IT or regulated industry
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Strong understanding of FISMA and NIST compliance frameworks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid Georgia driver's license (required for occasional site visits)
