Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data and intellectual property.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for hardware and software issues across multiple departments.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to optimize efficiency and compliance.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for hardware upgrades and software installations.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate IT inventory records.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration within a government or corporate setting.
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices (e.g., firewall management, encryption).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) if required.
