Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local and wide area network infrastructure for government facilities, ensuring 99.9% uptime for critical services.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data and comply with federal and state compliance standards (e.g., FISMA).
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support and troubleshooting for internal staff and government contractors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, design, and deploy IT projects that enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance reviews to identify vulnerabilities and optimize system performance.
- Document technical processes and maintain accurate records for audit purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a related government/contracted role.
- Familiarity with government regulations, data privacy laws, and security clearance processes.
- Strong proficiency in network troubleshooting, Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Ability to obtain a favorable background check and government security clearance.
