Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain public records and databases with strict accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist constituents with inquiries regarding city services, permits, and policy interpretation.
- Coordinate with interdepartmental teams to ensure strict compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Prepare detailed reports, agendas, and briefings for city council meetings and public review.
- Conduct internal audits to identify process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Oversee the scheduling and logistics for large-scale public events and community forums.
- Respond to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a government, administrative, or public sector role.
- Strong working knowledge of state and local government procedures and procurement processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex information for diverse audiences.
- Ability to pass a thorough background check and obtain necessary security clearance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with government-specific database software (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
