Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned government facilities during night shifts to detect security breaches and prevent unauthorized access
- Operate advanced surveillance systems and respond to alarms within 3 minutes
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security logs for legal compliance
- Coordinate with emergency services during critical incidents using established protocols
- Conduct routine safety inspections of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas
- Enforce city ordinances and security regulations with professional demeanor
- Train junior security officers on night shift procedures and emergency protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in criminal justice preferred
- Valid Texas Class C Security Officer License or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience (night shift preferred)
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Proficient in CCTV systems, access control software, and radio communications
- Physical fitness to handle extended patrols and emergency response situations
- Flexibility to work rotating night schedule (10 PM - 6 AM) including weekends
